The newest and most powerful model from G-Power has just been unveiled by the German tuner. Named the M5 Hurricane RRs, it is the last model to be built on the E60 BMW chassis and also the most powerful variant ever produced by the aftermarket tuning company. Not only was its 5.0-liter V-10 engine tuned to the maximum with a new twin-compressor system, but the chassis was also upgraded with new staggered BMW wheels, sport suspension springs, bigger brakes, and more.
The new G-Power M5 Hurricane RRs is the most powerful ever produced by the company by at least 30 horsepower. The team installed a new dual-compressor system on the 5.0-liter V-10 engine to provide a great deal of boost pressure and vastly increase horsepower. The team went with a pair of ASA T1-316 compressors that are larger than before and provide even more boost. To handle the extra boost, many of the engine’s internals including pistons, valves, rings, and more were replaced with stronger, forged units. bmw style wheels
The 5.0-liter engine also benefitted from a new charge air cooler to help compress more air and reliably provide additional power to each cylinder. New air mass sensors, fuel filters and injectors, and ECU mapping for the ignition and fueling were installed to ensure that all of the components work together. The standard exhaust was also removed and replaced with a lighter stainless steel model with quad tailpipes that helps generate even more power for each of the rear staggered BMW wheels.
The result of the upgrades is a whopping 830 horsepower at 7,500 to 8,000 RPM and 780 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM driving the staggered BMW wheels. This enables the super sedan to accelerate to 100 kph in just 4.3 seconds, 200 kph in 9.1 seconds, and 300 kph in 25.2 seconds with the top speed being over 370 kph with the appropriate tires.
The entire chassis was also upgraded with new suspension, brakes, and rims. The standard suspension pieces were replaced with new G-Power RS coilovers that have nine-way adjustable settings, while the brakes were replaced with larger, six-piston units. As an option, customers can opt for the more powerful and lighter carbon ceramic brakes for better stopping power. The finishing touch is the new in-house forged rim fitment featuring staggered BMW wheels from G-Power that measure 20-inches in diameter with the rear-mounted units being wider for better grip.
